Thank You for 13 Great Years of Dedication to the Click for Cans Contest!

Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, Campbell’s Chunky Soup and the NFL thank you for the support of the Click for Cans program.

Since Campbell’s launched the Click for Cans program with the NFL in 1998, fans have helped Campbell’s donate more than 2 million cans of Chunky soup to Feeding America programs across the nation.  For nine consecutive years, Packers’ fans have shown their passion not only for their team but also in the fight to end hunger by dominating the Click for Cans competition. Green Bay fans helped create a donation of more than 150,000 cans to food banks and pantries across Wisconsin.

On Tuesday, September 13, 2011, John Faulkner, Communications Brand Director of Campbell’s Soup Company, presented the Packers with a Click for Cans all-time championship trophy. Nick Collins accepted the award on behalf of the Packers smiling graciously; “I like trophies! It’s almost as heavy as the Lombardi Trophy.” Fans laughed with Collins and were thrilled to get the opportunity to meet him.

Five Wisconsin pantries: Oneida food pantry, Salvation Army of Brown County, NEW Community Shelter, Paul’s Pantry and Peter’s Pantry, each received about 1,000 cans of soup. More than half a million people rely on various Feeding America programs in the state of Wisconsin. Partnerships with organizations like Campbell’s help make it possible to supply wholesome, nutritious meals to families, children and seniors in need.

After 13 wonderful years, Click for Cans has come to a close, “We couldn’t figure out how to create a program you guys couldn’t win,” Faulkner joked. “We’ll continue to support Feeding America food banks across the country through our on-going product donations to Feeding America and various partnerships.”

Thank you for 13 years! GO PACK GO!
