Food Distributed Just in Time for Thanksgiving

Green Bay, WI – Working with the Brown County Homeless and Housing Coalition and the Brown County Food & Hunger Network, Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin is providing two truck-loads of food to be distributed to feed the hungry in Brown County. This food distribution is in conjunction with the National Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week.
The food being distributed includes meat, potatoes, apples, canned vegetables, canned soup, cereal, bread and much more. “With the holidays right around the corner, we hope these two truckloads of food will help our Brown County neighbors have a more hopeful holiday season,” said Bonnie Bellehumeur, president of Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin.
Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin works with 27 hunger relief programs in Brown County. With their help, Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin distributed more than 359,000 pounds of food last year to Brown County, a 15% increase over the previous year.
