Like every food bank across the country, Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, a member of the Feeding America network, is working harder every day to assist individuals and their families right here in eastern Wisconsin in these tough economic times. It’s a daily challenge, and we are always looking for new ways to meet it head on.

For the second consecutive year, Feeding America is partnering with General Mills, Subway, 24 Hour Fitness and Walgreens, The Biggest Loser to encourage Americans to lose weight through the Pound for Pound Challenge. The program is built around the incredible success of The Biggest Loser, a reality show that challenges and encourages overweight contestants to shed pounds in a safe manner through diet and exercise. Individuals can go to www.pfpchallenge. com to pledge their weight-loss goals. For every pound pledged, the Pound for Pound Challenge sponsors will donate 14 cents to Feeding America, up to a maximum donation of $800,000. We need your support to make our involvement a success!

Participating is easy and your impact can be huge.

Simply sign up and pledge your weight loss goals at www.pfpchallange.com. For every pound you pledge, General Mills, Subway, 24 Hour Fitness and Walgreens will donate 14 cents to Feeding America – that’s enough to purchase one pound of food. In addition, you can quickly and easily gain encouragement for reaching your goal and pledges for Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin through the program’s Friends & Family Online Fundraising program.

At the end of the challenge, Feeding America distributes funds to local food banks. The more sign ups and pledges a food bank has from its area, the more funds it receives. So please help us by signing up now and encouraging others to sign up and/or pledge!

It’s a great opportunity for our supporters to do something good for themselves and do something good for our community.
