Color Vibe 5K Water Station Volunteers
We need 10-12 volunteers to collect food donations and set up and distribute water to race participants at the Color Vibe 5K on Saturday, May 9. You are also welcome to cheer loudly during the race! The volunteer shift is from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Veterans Park, 1010 North Lincoln Memorial Drive in Milwaukee. Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin is the charitable partner for the Color Vibe Milwaukee 5K and a portion of the proceeds benefit the food bank.
Tuesday Volunteer Opportunities
We are now offering a new weekday opportunity for individuals. We are recruiting individual volunteers to help us sort and label food for those who are hungry in our communities every Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
We are looking forward to building a group of regular Tuesday morning volunteers to help us prepare food for distribution to our community partners serving the hungry. Volunteers must be able to stand and lift up to 15 pounds. The volunteer events take place at our warehouse at 1700 W. Fond du Lac Avenue.
We’d like to register volunteers in advance of the event so we can prepare the work and supplies needed for the group. If interested, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Pahoua Xiong, at email@example.com or 414-831-6326.
